What is team coaching?

Team coaching is the process of identifying and addressing team challenges, which results in improved team dynamics.

What is productive teamwork?

Good question. What does teamwork mean to you personally? What does teamwork mean to your current team situation specifically? The trick is for everyone on your team to share the same definition of effective and producitve teamwork. Our team coaching process can help your team to come up with a common definition and put togehter a plan for achieving your goals through effective teamwork.

What are the benefits of using a team coaching process over just a team building event?

Using team coaching will affect real change to the team dynamics, because this is a process that takes place over an extended period of time versus a one day event. Our clients benefit from:

  • More productive teams
  • Increased retention
  • Stronger leadership

When is a good time to have a team building workshop?

There are many different scenarios when our workshops would benefit a team, some examples are:

  • Experiencing team conflict
  • Communication problems
  • Competing agendas between teams
  • Power struggles
  • Launching a new project
  • Fun day with the added benefit of getting to know each other better
  • Launching a new project
  • New team members - quick way for everyone to get to know each other’s preferences and work styles
  • New manager - looking to understand their team dynamics and improve communication effectiveness
  • Restructuring of the organization which affects teams function, role and responsibility

Do you use the DISC assessments in all your team building workshops?

No; we only use the DISC assessments as the baseline for discussion in our DISC team building workshops and our leadership courses. In our opinion, the report serves as a great tool to have a conversation about others work and communication styles. However, we also conduct facilitated team building workshops without DISC - these are generally more customized to suit your unique goals and objectives.
